We are so excited!! We told our families on Sunday! It was my Dads Birthday so we thought it would be a great time to tell everyone. We gave my Dad an Easter egg with his birthday present with a note inside that said..."Happy Birthday Grandpa, I'll see you in December!" Everyone couldn't quite figure it out till my mom shouted, "you're having a baby aren't you?" The boys were surprised and all Carter has been saying is, "we're having a sister, no more brothers!" Okay Mom! We also gave Mikes parents Easter eggs that had a note in them that said Happy Easter Grandpa and Grandma see you in December. It was fun to see everyones reaction. We are so excited and we will defenitley love what ever our Heavenly Father sends us.

P.S- Happy Anniversary today Mom and Dad they have been married for 37 years. I Love the both of you so much. And Happy Birthday to my nephew Tanner love you bud.

Spring Break !

The boys have been out for Spring Break since last Friday and I can truly say that I have enjoyed having them home they have had their moments of fighting and not getting along but for the most part it has been good. We have not done much with the weather being so gross we have just hung out watched movies and just enjoyed relaxing(forget the spring cleaning right!) they tried to have a few minutes of being outside but it was just to darn cold. We are headed to the new movie Monsters vs. Aliens

this afternoon it should fun. I just want my three little guys to know how much I love them and I have definitely enjoyed them this week.

Green , Green and more Green is what was found at our house today. The boys woke up this morning to shamrocks scattered in the kitchen and those sneaky little Leprechauns even left a few gold coins behind (lucky boys). It was a great morning the boys enjoyed the breakfast I made green pancakes and green milk. Then it was off to school with there green shirts.. Love you boys so much.

Sunday we had an early St. Patrick's Day green dinner with my family it was a lot of fun and is something we all look forward to each year. We had hamburgers with GREEN buns, GREEN salad with GREEN dressing,GREEN potato salad,chips and GREEN cupcakes with ice cream. Holy cow we will all probably be peeing green for the next week with all the GREEN food coloring we have ate. But it was all worth it I am so glad that my family and children enjoy these silly holidays traditions and that we are able to be together. I guess if you can find a reason to have a party why not RIGHT..

My Little Champ!

Well as many of you know our sweet Braxton seems to move from sport to another as the year goes. He just finished up with Basketball and wasted no time breaking out the wrestling gear. For all of you who do not know the wrestling blood runs deep in the Balmforth family and Braxton has surely taken to the sport and really excelled at it. (Just like his Dad) We have jumped full force into the wrestling practices and tournaments every weekend from now until May 2 crazy I know but he loves it and that's all that is important. This weekend he wrestled at the Sugar Salem wrestling tournament where he placed 1st place in Folkstlye and also placed 1st in Freestyle he did great. He went 9-0 and pinned all is guys but two and won the others by points. We were also so excited because Braxton pinned all his guys in freestyle and was awarded the OUTSTANDING WRESTLER AWARD for his age. It was a great day Carson, Carter, Mike and I enjoyed being there cheering him on and what made the day even better was Braxton was able to see and share the day with his cousin Taylor as he was awarded OUTSTANDING WRESTLER for his age also. We are so proud of the both of them.

Congratulations Nick and Alex! Mikes little brother Nick got engaged yesterday and we are so excited for them. Alex is such a sweetheart and we are so glad that she is joining our family. My kids have really taken to her and she has been so good to them. We love you both.

Just want to wish my sister Chris a Happy Birthday! I know it's a little late in the day to wish her a Happy birthday but I have tried all day to try to figure out how I could get her password from her or her kids without being obvious so I could post a Happy Birthday on her blog. She has been able to get into all of our blogs to post a birthday wish to us but apparently I'm not that brilliant. Anyhow Happy Birthday Chris thanks for always being such a great sister and always being a good example to me. HAPPY BIRTHDAY and I think it's {haha ~ I know your pass word and I took out that number you put there~Chris!!} or something to old to mention right (j/k). Love you tons.

Christmas 2008

Our Christmas started out great. We started by going out to lunch and then off for our annual bowling. Carter and the boys were so excited as you can tell in the pictures to go and be with their cousins. After bowling we ran a few errands and made a quick stop to see my Great Grandma Carter at Fairwinds who will be 97 this year and wished her a Merry Christmas. We then hurried home to begin preparing our Christmas Eve dinner it was great we had all of my family over Mike and I bought a prime rib and my brother-in-law cooked it for us and did a wonderful job. We ate lots and lots and enjoyed each other but the night could not be over without a surprise visit from Santa. The kids were able to open their Christmas Eve present which is always pajamas.
It was such a great night and what made it the best is my Grandpa and Grandma Fillmore were able to be with us and even visit with Santa.
After everyone left our house, the stockings were hung by the chimney with care... and the tree was lit...

and the cookies and milk and our note to Santa was out, we all hurried to bed to wait for Santa. The boys were so very excited for Christmas morning and came to wake us at 2:30 asking if it was time yes you guessed it right we shooed them quickly back to bed and nobody moved until 7:30. Finally the boys were up and all the excitement began it was so fun to be able to watch them tear into it all.

It was a very busy but exciting day after opening presents at our house we quickly made the very snowy trip to Mikes parents house for breakfast an to open presents with them. Because of the snow it was quite an adventure to get us all to their house but we did it and had a very yummy, yummy breakfast. I just want both Mikes family and my family to know how much we love them and it will be a Christmas that will never be forgotten. Thanks everyone it was wonderful. Santa Claus came to moms school today and Carter was able to sit in his lap and tell him what he wants for christmas. All this cute little guy of mine wants is semi's. He is so cute and I love him so much. Well Carter I'm pretty sure Santa can find some semi's and we must not froget he wants them to be blue and green. Love you Carter.

Fiesta Fun and Bolt the Dog

Today was a pretty lazy day we slept in and then we took the boys and went to the move BOLT it was a really cute show and the boys really liked it. I am so glad that we have had this time to just relax and enjoy being together as a family.

We have a great couple of days yesterday we while the big boys were riding bikes Mandy and I took the boys and went to Fiesta Fun Family Center and let the boys play and run crazy. They were able to ride the bumper cars and spray each other with water and then ride the little race cars and play on the jungle gym. Then we took them to lunch and oh yes we were brave and even shopped a little.

While they were gone Mandy and I took Carter and Jackson and went shopping. It was very nice to just have the one and be able to take a little time to enjoy ourselves thanks guys it was fun. I was able to find a few cute things for myself. We are having a wonderful time here in St. George and are surely enjoying the rest and relaxation. Mike took the camera with him today and was able to get some pretty cute shots of him and the boys. I sure love these little guys and they love to be out with their dad riding the motorbikes glad you had a great time boys. Here are a few of those shots of their day.
We had a pretty laid back and relaxing day everyone sleep until 8:00 and then we laid around watched a movie and stayed in bed until 10:30 bad I know but boy did it feel good. Once we all arose and joined the rest of the world Mike and Bryan took the four older boys Braxton, Carson, Tyler and Kaden and went on a motorbike ride where the little guys could ride their bikes and have a little fun.

Zions National Park

We had a great day today. We took a ride to Zions National Park it was a lot of fun and so beautiful. I had never been there and I am so glad we went. It is amazing what is all around us and we don't even know it was a trip well worth it. So be prepared for picture overload hope you enjoy. We are having a wonderful time and just enjoying being together.

Well it's not like Mike sits down and views my blog but I do want to WISH him a very HAPPY ANNIVERSARY and thank him for 11 great years of marriage. We have Defentily had our share of ups and downs but our good times by far weigh out the hard ones. Mike thank you for always loving me for supprting me in what ever I do for working so hard and providing for our family and most important for giving me three handsome sons you are my sunshine, my rock who always holds me up when I need it. Mike was so excited yesterday he went and traded in his Honda CRF450 for a KTM 505 just in time for camping this weekend. We all have Honda motorbikes Me, Braxton, Carson and Carter guess dad's going to stick out like a sore thumb when he's riding with us but owell he was excited and deserves it Mike works so hard and doesn't buy himself new thing very often but when he does let me warn you they aren't usually small that's for sure (just kidding). He spent some of the evening riding it around and giving all of us rides love you Mike....

Pick'in Apples

They boys and I went out yesterday to my in-laws farm house and picked apples the tree was bending with yummy green apples so we went and took advantage of them being there. It was fun to watch the boys climb the tree and pick the apples. We took some to a friend of our so she could make applesauce we'll see how it turns out.

Muffins with Mom

Last Friday it was Muffins with Mom at Braxton and Carson's school it's always a fun morning where I get to go and enjoy eating a muffins and milk with them and to be able to check out their classrooms and visit with their teachers. Because I was in charge of getting fathers to come and serve muffins I quickly assigned Mike the job it was fun to have him there thanks honey. Upon visiting Carson's class I was able to view his first art project for the year check it out what do you think does it look like me? He did such a good job and was so proud of it he wrote the cutest note to me it made my day. I am so thankful for all 3 of my boys thanks guys for the fun morning.

Fresh start and First Day of School

Yes, I know I have been bad about updating my blog I have felt like I got so behind with summer events because I had so much I wanted to share we had such a great summer just enjoying the summer days playing with cousins and friends, playing baseball, lagoon and good old camping that I felt like couldn't catch up but I have decided to just let the past go and start fresh. So I promise to keep up and enjoy keeping this journal of me and my family and our daily adventures. Braxton and Carson started school and it was kinda a bitter sweet moment summer just seemed to fly by and I wasn't quite ready to let my kids go. They are both growing up so fast into such handsome little boys Braxton started 3rd grade and was more ready than ever ready to go and conquer the world and my sweet Carson well 1st Grade here I come he was certainly a little nervous but still excited .

Happy Birthday Carson! It was Carson's birthday and he has been so very excited for it for a very long time. It was a great day we started it out with a birthday breakfast, took donuts his his kindergarten class and then finished it up with a family party at Leo's pizza he had so much fun and was so excited to just have everyone around him. He got a couple of his favorite things a balloon machine to blow up his own balloons his very own Nintendo DS, bubble gum for his bubble gum machine, and his own Kareoke machine. Thanks everyone for coming and making it a great day for him.

We have had such great neighbors the Shaws who have been so much fun and our children have got along so well. Ella and Carson really hit it off and have been best buds for a couple of years now. They started Kindergarten this year and even got the same teacher they love to to play together and play really well most of the time. They love riding bikes and just playing outside. Due to Ryans job the Shaws took a job in Colorado which in turn means Carson's best bud is moving it has been so cute to watch these to grow and be such good buds Ella has been coming to our house in the mornings since they are living with their grandma till schools out. So the other day I took a few pictures of them they are so cute and are so funny. We love you Ryan, Mindy,Isabel, Ella and baby Griffin we will truly miss you guys.

Happy Mothers Day!!! What a great Day. Being a Mother is something that I truly love I continually thank my Heavenly Father for my sweet boys and for giving me the opportunity to be a mother. We had a great day Mike and the boys gave me some really cute sandals and some new capris that I have been wanting These things are great but it sure doesn't beat the sweet homemade gifts the boys gave me it's amazing what a picture of a small hand print and a poem will do to you and for the homemade flower pots and cards these are priceless. As I have truly thought about being a mother today I have to take the opportunity to tell my own mother how much I love her she is amazing and has truly made me the mother I am today through her example and always having an unselfish love for all those around her she has taught me to have faith, integrity and most of all the importance of family. Mom I love you so much you are always there to laugh with me to wipe away a tear and you always have a shoulder to lean on. I love you and to my mother-in -law Peggy who I love so much and supports me in each and every way. To my two beautiful sisters Chris and Mandie and sister-laws Shannon, Angie, Adrienne and Karina. MOM !!!! Just wanted to wish my mom HAPPY BIRTHDAY and tell her how much I love her. She truly is the BEST Mom. My Mom has always been and will forever be my best friend I love her so very much and my life would not be complete if she was not here I can't recall very many days that have gone by that I have not talked to my mom at least once during the day many times it is four or five times. She has taught me how to be a good mother and wife she has taught me that anything is possible and that I can do it if I just trust in myself. This weekend Braxton will be wrestling in the State Freestyle and Greco tournament in Idaho Falls with his Dad right along his side coaching him. We are so proud of him he is such a good kid and tries so hard in everything he does and is such a good example to his little brothers. He will wrestle Greco on Friday night and Freestlye on Saturday. Everyone is invited to come and cheer him on.

It just seems like yesterday that Jay, Nick and Adam were little boys and to see what a wonderful family we have with such cute little ones who are so different and special in their own little ways. Make a scrapbook - it's easy!

Well here it is my first post and still not sure what i am doing. But I wanted to share a few photos with you. Braxton turned 8 this year was a special birthday for him Mike and i decided that when each of our kids turn eight we will treat them to a special trip. Mike purchased tickets for him and Braxton to fly to San Fransisco for the weekend do a little touring and around and go to a NFL 49ers football game for his birthday present. It was alot of fun and was made for even a better vacation with all of Braxtons uncles Joe, Chris, Nick and Adam being there with them.
